Introduction
The Youth Academy is a collaborative project to support employability and engagement of young people. It involves Boards, colleges, local authorities, Care providers, third sector and other partners. The programme covers a number of different Board areas, as shown below.
The aims of the Youth Academy project are to support the health and care sector to engage and recruit young people through collaborative working. To achieve this we will:
Help raise awareness and understanding of health/care careers among young people, parents and educators
Help develop improved improve pathways through school into further study/work in the sector
Provide expert advice and share and extend successful practice
