The National Centre for Remote & Rural Health & Care is delivering a series of online remote and rural learning events with a focus on primary and community care. Sessions are relevant to a wide range of audiences supporting hybrid/remote working and continuous professional development. Some sessions are also relevant to community members.

8th October, 1:30-2:30pm, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in Practice-based Learning CPD Session within the AHP PrBL Virtual Community
This session aims to raise your awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion in the practice setting. The session will offer discussion points to stimulate your reflections and challenge assumptions. Additional resources will be signposted for those who wish to take their learning further.
The session will be facilitated by colleagues from Queen Margaret University - Judith Lane (Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy) , Susie Lloyd (Lecturer in Speech and Hearing Sciences) and Paola Tisi (Equality, Diversion and Inclusion Advisor).
Who is it for: Any practice educators and AHP staff who support students on placement

9th November 2:00-3:30pm, National Higher Education Institute Training: Supporting an Underperforming Student.
Join us for an interactive session exploring how to recognise, manage, and support a student who may be struggling during practice-based learning. Through discussion and shared experiences, participants will consider practical strategies to promote student success while maintaining professional and academic standards.

24th November, 1:30-2:30pm, National Approach to AHP Practice Educator Training Information Session within the AHP PrBL Virtual Community

26th January 1:00-3:00pm, National Higher Education Institute Training: The Role of the Health and Social Care Support Worker (HSCSW) in AHP Practice-based Learning
Join us to build your awareness of the regulatory expectations, frameworks, and competencies that shape how HSCSWs can support AHP students during practice‑based learning. You will explore practical ways on how health and social care support workers can contribute to placements and how teams can integrate HSCSWs effectively into student learning.
