MAPs Career Development Framework consultation 

The MAPs Career Development Framework builds on the Core Capabilities Framework (published in 2022), supporting employers in strategically planning for the integration and progression of Medical Associate Professions (MAPs), including capacity and resource considerations for onboarding and role development, whilst fostering a comprehension of their roles within multidisciplinary teams.

Additionally, the framework strives to contribute significantly to enhancing professional identity for MAPs and improve consistency of career development opportunities available to them. It is intended that the Framework will be utilised by all four UK nations that train and employ Medical Associate Professions.

Consultation on the draft Career Development Framework for MAPs closed at mid-day 2nd February 2024.
