This course aims to prepare trainees for inter hospital transfers. It aims to improve safety and performance in this area. Ideally trainees should attend this course shortly before their first transfer of a critically ill patient between hospitals. We also recognise that there are some trainees who have completed a few transfers already, but would benefit from further training.

6th May 2024 - Medical Education Training Centre, Kirklands Hospital
Eligibility: Anaesthetics and ICM trainees that have recently started, or soon expect to be required to complete inter-hospital transfers. This could vary slightly with rotations/regions, but is likely to be stage 1 Anaesthetics, and ICM trainees, as well as ACCS trainees in year 3 with Anaesthetics or ICM as parent specialties.
