Developing Communication Skills using Motivational Interviewing
Prerequisites: Employed as a Dental Core Trainee level 3 in Scotland Deanery.
Learning aims: To introduce participants to the role of motivational interviewing in dentistry.
Learning outcomes: By the end of the training event, participants will be able to:
- Understand how motivational interviewing can improve patient engagement in dentistry settings.
- Understanding how using a trauma informed lens can assist with our understanding of the process of health behaviour change.
