KIND Learning Network Excel Skills

Add to favourites

Many of us know how to do lots of things in Excel, yet have never thought systematically about how to build skills in Excel. This intermediate level course, aimed at users in health, social care, and housing, will help users build spreadsheets that are safe, efficient, and reliable.

Note that this course is not suitable for beginners. The sessions assume familiarity with basic Excel usage, and are aimed at those who have previously worked with Excel spreadsheets. Users in NHSScotland who require introductory training should refer to the M365 Skills Hub.

The course materials are also best suited to the desktop version of M365 Excel. While most of the core content will work in other versions of Excel, some of content will work differently (or not at all) in older versions of the software.

Course design

The course runs as a series of five linked sessions. Sessions 1 and 2 are about exploring the foundations of Excel in greater depth to build confidence and fluency.
