GMC has published (22 June) the content map for our future anaesthesia associate registration assessment (AARA).
Clare Barton, Assistant Director for Regulation of Medical Associate Professions at General Medical Council (GMC) says “This is a significant development affecting education and training for anaesthesia associates and is another important step towards their regulation. As part of our regulatory framework, we’ll introduce the AARA in 2025 as a new registration requirement for AAs, bringing them into line with PAs who will need to pass an assessment to gain GMC registration.”
