At Carr Gomm, we support people who are at significantly increased risk of digital exclusion including people experiencing homelessness, people who communicate in non-traditional ways, and people living with moderate to severe mental health conditions. My project aimed to explore the feasibility of rolling out digital inclusion training to all frontline Support Practitioners via LearnPro, ensuring all staff are skilled and confident in supporting people to get online in a safe and meaningful way. To date, I have worked with an internal Working Group to roll out a Digital Skills Survey across the organisation to establish a baseline of digital skill and confidence; receiving responses from 171 Support Practitioners and 29 Service Managers. I am now continuing to collaborate with colleagues in Learning & Development, HR, and frontline teams to use these findings to inform decisions on our core digital competencies and influence the design of digital skills training materials.
