The Scottish Governments Falls & Fracture Strategy 2019-24 reference that statistically 10% of those over 65 will annually suffer a fragility fracture. The aim of this project is to be able to evidence a reduction of 2nd falls for those aged 65+. A selected cohort of 1st time fallers will wear predictive technology in the form of a watch. They will be proactively monitored. The data gathered from the technology will provide insights to practitioners that will support their decision making by identifying escalating risk and help them to deploy appropriate interventions to avoid an individual reaching a crisis situation.
