To practice in Great Britain, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have satisfied them that they meet the requirements. For pharmacists the level of advanced practice is detailed in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society core advanced practice curriculum.  

Professional Standards

Pharmacists undertake annual revalidation in relation to pharmacy professional standards through their regulatory body, The General Pharmaceutical Council. Quality assurance of pharmacist’s capability as an advanced pharmacist is demonstrated by completing the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s (the professional body) core advanced pharmacist curriculum.

Registering for E-portfolio is open to all pharmacists and can be opened by visiting RPS core advanced curriculum overview and choosing ‘access E-portfolio'
