NHS England Workforce Education and Training Directorate formally known as Health Education England produced roadmaps from undergraduate to advanced practice level for a variety of professions in primary care. 

They provide examples of how you could potentially progress towards your end goal.

For advanced level AHPs working in Intensive Care and in Emergency Care, additional competencies are provided by the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine and the Royal College of Emergency Medicine respectively. Both the FICM and RCEM offer additional credentialing that advanced practitioners can apply for.
