NHS Lanarkshire began to roll out ‘MORSE’ clinical system in community teams in 2020.The benefits of the MORSE system means staff can view and record their findings within the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) accessed via an iPad, within a live patient environment, which is then accessible to other services involved in the patient’s care. At the time of MORSE training, iPads were not available and staff lacked the skills and confidence to utilise them within a live patient environment. Despite significant financial investment by NHS Lanarkshire, iPad usage is underreported. The aim of the project was to increase iPad usage in a live patient environment by educating and creating a mentoring system for Health Visitors.
