Endoscopy Simulator Induction

Add to favourites

NES has funded 6 endoscopy simulators which are situated across training regions. These provide you with the opportunity to accelerate early acquisition of endoscopy skills to allow an early transition to full patient procedures. These allow you to practice insertion and withdrawal as well as tip control and other basic skills and pathology recognition, in a simulation environment.

Ideally training time should be scheduled to allow supervised sessions during the working day until technical competence is reached to maximise the experience within clinical endoscopy sessions.

Who can book a simulator?

Simulators are open for all endoscopy trainees, students, trainee nurse endoscopists and established endoscopists for upskilling.
