Below you can find out more about the application process and funding available for the programme.  

Applications should be submitted by email to nes.dew@nhs.scot by Sunday 15 January 2023. Shortlisting will take place week commencing 23 January 2023, candidates will be informed by Friday 03 February if they have been successful in gaining a place on the programme.

To support candidates over the festive period, we are extending the submission deadline for the executive sponsorship section of the application until 25 January 2023. You must still submit the rest of your application by 15 January 2023.

Funding

The postgraduate programme offers learners three flexible exit routes. As part of your application you will indicate your preferred option.

  • 1 year - Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert)
  • 2 years - Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip)
  • 3 years - Full masters (MSc)

Full funding will be provided for up to 60 participants on the PGCert (year 1) and PGDip (year 2).

For those who intend to complete the full masters (year 3), funding for the third year will need to be provided by the candidate’s own organisation. 

If you leave employment in the sector before completing your course of study or do not complete the course of study agreed, NES reserves the right to reclaim the fees from you.
