Core vascular teaching day focused on practical open vascular surgical skills in a wet-lab setting.
The session will include practical teaching and hands-on experience in: - Instrument familiarity - Principles of vessel handling and dissection - Opening and closing an arteriotomy - Simulated embolectomy - Patch closure - Aortic inlay (end-to-end) - End-to-side anastomosis (bypass)
Prerequisites:You must be a current Scottish Core Surgical Trainee.
