Many different groups of participants undertake formal training with NES. These include Dental Nurses, DCPs on post-registration training, Vocational Dental Practitioners, Dental Core Trainees, Specialty Trainees and many others. We know that NES training can be a highly positive experience, both personally and professionally, but it can also present various challenges and be a stressful undertaking. That is why it is so important that participants raise any difficulties they are having, as early as possible, so that appropriate support can be put in place. Please speak to your trainer/educational supervisor, or your scheme/training programme adviser or lead. Do not be afraid to ask for help.
As a trainer it can be very rewarding to supervise a colleague in their development from being a safe beginner to an independent practitioner, yet this role also comes with pressures and challenges. Please speak to your scheme/training programme adviser or lead about any concerns or issues. The NES team will provide guidance and advice to you.
