AHP split or shared placement

Student placements are not always located at the same site. Traditionally if this was the case the student would be going between two or more NHS sites. Today there are examples of students moving across sectors in one placement.

A shared or split placement is any experience that requires a minimum of one day per week within a different sector or area within a health board, so that two settings are accessed for the duration of the PrBL. Usually involves a different Practice Educator in both sectors or settings or long arm supervision.
