It is not mandatory to stay overnight. However, to reduce travel fatigue, IMTs travelling long distances to get to the boot camp are encouraged to stay overnight in Larbert for its duration.

You need to book travel and accommodation yourself but all expenses will be reimbursed as per the NES study leave travel, accommodation and subsistence rates (please keep all receipts). When you make your study leave requests and expenses claims please ensure that you clearly state the words ‘IMT1 boot camp’.
The funding for all aspects of this course, including course fees, travel, accommodation and subsistence, is in addition to your usual study leave budget and will not impact on other claims over the course of IMT.
