Vascular access resources

There is the opportunity to be signed off as ‘ready for directly supervised workplace practice’ in ultrasound guided central venous catheterisation. You must refresh this skill, even if you already feel confident in this procedure, to ensure that a common standard is attained in IM3.

It is usually very quickly obvious to faculty if you have not engaged with this pre-course learning. In this situation, it is ​unlikely you will achieve the required standard to be signed off in this procedure.
