Updates to resources and processes

We are committed to continuously developing and updating guidance and processes for raising and escalating concerns to ensure that AHP staff, students, and service users are safe, well-informed, and supported.

Key developments in 2025 included:

  • Updated National Whistleblowing Guidance for AHP Students, currently under review by the Independent National Whistleblowing Officer (INWO). The guidance will be shared on this Turas page when finalised
  • Creation of two resources to support AHP students and practice educators in managing serious incidents during placements (currently out for stakeholder review), along with streamlining incident reporting processes outlined in the AHP Practice-Based Learning Handbook
  • Initial discussions with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) regarding a new resource to provide a framework for how registrants and students can respond to discrimination they experience or witness in the workplace or educational settings

Educators and a range of stakeholders across professions are working collaboratively to ensure safety and accountability.
