This webinar is run by NHS Education for Scotland’s new Digitally Enabled Workforce team who are embarking on an initial two-year programme of work to increase digital capabilities and leadership across the health and social care workforce. 

Summary

Digital technology in health and social care has the potential to transform and future-proof services for Scotland’s citizens.  At the heart of all innovation and change is always people.  This interactive webinar will explore your understanding of digital leadership.  You will hear from a range of individuals working across health and care who consider themselves to be digital leaders.  You will also find out how you might increase your own skills and knowledge to lead in a digital world.  

About the presenters

Paula Baird – Programme Lead – Digitally Enabled Workforce 

Paula’s role is about influencing people on the importance of digital skills, technology and creating a learning culture to increase the adoption of technologies at all levels to successfully transform services for users and employees. This involves engaging and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to develop and support access to resources linked to national priorities related to digital leadership and digital skills development across the health and social care workforce. 

Pamela Dimberline – Specialist Lead Digital Health and Care 

Pamela’s role provides specialist input for education, programmes and services supporting Scotland’s Digital Health and Care strategy. Her work supports the national rollout of Near Me remote consulting, remote health monitoring, digital telecare, and widening access to the new PDA in Technology Enabled Care SCQF Level 7 developed by NES to equip the workforce with the knowledge and skills required to embed digital into health and social care. 

Emma Scatterty – Digital Learning Specialist Lead 

Emma comes from a background of digital skills learning and development in the third sector. Her key area of focus at NES is increasing digital leadership capabilities across the health and social care workforce in Scotland.
