Within the speech and language therapy service, voice problems constitute a large proportion of outpatient care. The majority of voice problems are behavioural and therefore preventable with timely intervention and self-management. The use of digital health innovations with this patient group may provide both self-care options and prevent ongoing voice issues. This is even more pertinent now as in the last year almost all voice appointments have moved to remote, Near Me consultations. As part of the NMAHP Digital Health and Care Leadership programme, I have developed a web app that allows patients to record their voices and other relevant data. Clinicians can then access this data, conduct their own assessments on the webapp and download a report for use in the patient’s electronic patient record.
