This eSEA has an excellent description, is thoughtful and should benefit patient care. The information gathering is OK, but the author could have consulted with a colleague about the case if another dentist was available. Especially as this was the first time this had happened to them. The report considers the impact of the event in a caring manner. It is reflective and analyses human factors very well in a no blame way. From this analysis learning needs are identified, and a good concise action plan has been devised.
This eSEA contains useful information about dealing with a complication following administration of local anaesthesia.
