For this episode of the COVID-19 Series, we turned to the topic of treatments, and looked at what works for treating severe cases of COVID-19. Dr Paul Glynne, Consultant Physician at University College London Hospitals, and founder and Medical Director of The Physicians’ Clinic has worked in the emergency department treating acute COVID admissions since the start of the pandemic. He joined Dr Stephanie Kaye-Barrett, Medical Director at the Chelsea Rheumatology Clinic, to discuss treatments that have so far proved effective against the virus, the exciting medications currently in the pipeline, and what is currently known about therapies for sufferers of long COVID.
