One of the areas that the RRHEAL VC Education network has focussed on is Child health and Paediatrics. This has included education sessions designed to support and enhance knowledge, understanding and confidence for staff delivering palliative and end of life care closer to home for babies, children and young people.
RRHEAL have collaborated with the Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), which has for over twenty years been offering a full family support service for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions. Together we have developed educational resources appropriate for the needs of rural and remote/ islands healthcare teams and have delivered these as educational sessions live via VC and also as filmed/re-usable educational tools that are accessible via Turas Learn to NHS staff.
