Invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality. IPD particularly affects the very young, the elderly, and those with impaired immunity and other underlying medical conditions. Pneumococcal vaccination offers protection to those most at risk from severe disease.
To help support practitioners involved with vaccination against Pneumococcal disease, NHS Education for Scotland in partnership with Public Health Scotland has developed resources for healthcare practitioners. These can be found below.
This resource may be available, in full or summary form, in alternative formats and community languages. Please contact NHS Education for Scotland on 0131 656 3200 or email altforms@nes.scot.nhs.uk to discuss how we can best meet your requirements.
