The In it together to Get it Right resource is a training aid, intended for use by Infection Prevention and Control Teams (IPCTs), to facilitate training sessions to support clinical staff in gaining knowledge on the practical application of Standard Infection Control Precautions (SICPs) and Transmission Based Precautions (TBPs) in line with the guidance contained in the National Infection Prevention and Control Manual (NIPCM).

The resource provides a step-by-step guide which outlines several practical training scenarios which can be utilised by IPCTs and includes helpful hints and tips for trainers to use as a basis to facilitate in-house training and development sessions for clinical staff.
These scenarios provided are short, appropriate for use within the clinical environment, can be used in a wide variety of clinical settings and provide flexibility to address individual learning needs.
