Falls among older people are a major and growing concern and have an impact on an older person's independence and quality of life. However, falls are not an inevitable consequence of old age. Delivering evidence based interventions can prevent many falls and fractures. The Falls Prevention Multifactorial Screening (MFS) workbook is intended for all levels of staff. Originally intended for use with the NHS Highland Multifactorial Screening Form for Prevention of Falls in Older People the resource is openly available and may be used by staff outside NHS Highland. Please consider this useful resource in conjunction with your local screening tool and local guidance. Please also be aware that some of the links in this document may no longer be valid
