HD/CC Education Network session on Friday 23rd February 2018. Presenter: Dr Charles Lee, Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine, Inverness. This session will be of interest to rural teams who care for patients requiring critical or high dependency care and those who on occasion encounter patients who are critically ill prior to transfer to a secondary care area. It will include assessment of patient fluid status, calculating fluid and electrolyte requirement, methods of rehydration and fluids available for rehydration.
