Person centred and RRHEAL service improvement : embedding a “getting it right first time” approach to community wheelchair prescribing in rural health care. Abstract for SCSN conference 30-31 August 2012. RRHEAL assisted NHSH Wheelchair Service, developing an accessible resource in the context of rural and remote healthcare workers. Six short training films were developed to increase knowledge regarding demonstration of key steps and necessary skills required to effectively refer a client for wheelchair prescription. A self assessment tool was also devised, aiding self development of skills, CPD and assisting with service improvement strategies.
