East Renfrewshire Council’s Integrated Childrens Services have been working with CELCIS (Permanence and Care Excellence) and the Scottish Government Improvement Team to improve drift and delay for our most vulnerable children. We have analysed childrens journeys from when they enter our Health and Social Care Partnership from Tier 1 through to Tier 4. In November 2014 we set up our Request for Assistance Team (Tier 2) to ensure children and young people get the help they need when they need it. Aim: By December 2016 80% of all Pre-birth to 3s within Tier 3 who were assigned to a social worker on or after the 8th of April 2016 will have an Assessment completed within 40 working days.
