The Golden Jubilee National Hospital has approximately 230 patient beds. It is a centre of excellence in Orthopaedics and home to Regional and National Heart and Lung Services with one of the largest elective Orthopaedic Centres in Europe and the busiest Lung Surgery unit in the UK. We have developed a unique Quality Framework that provides assurance to our Patients and Visitors that safe, effective, person-centred care is delivered at all times. The Scottish Patient Safety Programme is a national programme that aims to improve safety and reliability of healthcare to reduce harm wherever care is delivered. Aim: Reducing Pressure Ulcers by 50%, before July 2016 by; delivering reliable risk assessments, evidence based interventions and streamlining clinical practice.
