The Scottish Ambulance Service has entered a period of unprecedented change as it's role in the delivery of safe, high quality care to the people of Scotland evolves far beyond its traditional remit of the provision of emergency care to patients who are life threateningly ill or injured. How it responds, the care its clinicians provide and the need for the Service to operate as part of an integrated health & social care service amplify the need for change at pace and scale. Aim: By August 2016, to have improved the quality improvement capability and capacity within the SAS through the design, test and delivery of a Quality Improvement Learning Programme to, initially, the key groups of: SAS Board members, An identified cross section of staff and managers from operational and support services.
