This paper sets out a new and accelerated focus on a number of priority areas for action in the form of a ‘Route Map’ to the 2020 Vision for Health and Social Care in Scotland. It summarises some of the excellent achievements that have been secured in recent years through a focus on improving quality in our health and care services through the implementation of the Quality Strategy, and reflects that these achievements are at least partially responsible for the
high regard with which Scotland is held internationally.
