Independent Prescribing Simulation-Based Session 8

If you cancel with less than 72h notice or do not attend a session you may be charged up to £150 for the session. All absences will be recorded and may affect your future ability to book.
I confirm I understand I must submit each IP Logbook session within 4 weeks of attendance otherwise the session will not count towards my placement.

Refine skills in effectively explaining, with enhanced confidence, the connection between systemic health conditions, lifestyle choices and ocular pathology through completion of simulated and actor-supported clinical scenarios (S1.8)

Demonstrate increased competence in effective comparison of vascular signs in hypertensive retinopathy, ischemic branch vein occlusion and rubeosis iridis, considering systemic implications, with a view to an enhanced diagnostic skillset. (S6.2)
Domain: Specialty CPD - AS/SP/IP optometrist
Demonstrate enhanced ability to identify the referral category and when onward referral to other professional colleagues is appropriate, to reduce clinical risk and support safe, effective care and achieve best possible clinical outcomes. (S6.2)
