IP simulation based session 7 - Falkirk

Prerequisites:
I agree to the following terms and conditions: If you cancel with less than 72h notice or do not attend a session you may be charged up to £150 for the session. All absences will be recorded and may affect your future ability to book. I confirm I understand I must submit each IP Logbook session within 4 weeks of attendance otherwise the session will not count towards my placement.

Learning outcomes:
C-112382 Domain: Communication Enhance skills around history and symptoms recording of patients presenting with herpes zoster, molluscum contagiosum and ischaemic branch vein occlusion, through completion of simulated and actor-supported clinical scenarios. (S1.1) Demonstrate specialist skills in communicating clear and effective management plans to patients for conditions which are infectious or have systemic implications. (S2.1) Domain: Clinical practice Enhance skills around clinical examination of patients presenting with herpes zoster, molluscum contagiosum and ischaemic branch vein occlusion, through completion of simulated and actor-supported clinical scenarios. (S1.1) Enhance skills in formulating an appropriate management plan using local and national guidelines and pathways, through completion of simulated and actor-supported clinical scenarios. (S7.5) Domain: Specialty CPD - AS/SP/IP optometrist Demonstrate advanced knowledge in prescribing decisions for patients presenting with herpes zoster by formulating an individual, appropriate, management plan that adheres to safe, evidence-based guidelines and approved formularies. (S7.6)
