The aim of this module is to introduce preventive advice and first aid care than can reduce avoidable dental injuries and improve outcomes in event of injury occurring. The module is aimed at anyone working within health, social care, teaching, or sports organisations.

This short course will help you to understand what a healthy mouth is, and how oral health contributes to a person's overall wellbeing. It will describe common diseases of the mouth, and how using drugs can negatively impact people's oral health. It will equip you with some key health messages and other useful information that you can share with people who use drugs who you might encounter in your day-to-day work
