This module is designed to provide learners with detailed anatomical and physiological knowledge of the ear to ensure ear assessment and examination prior to microsuction can be performed competently. Completion of the module will equip learners with the knowledge to identify the structures of the ear, safely examine the ear, recognise abnormal ear conditions during clinical examination and refer on in accordance with local policy and protocol where appropriate.
