This accessibility statement applies to the Turas Dashboard application (https://turasdashboard.nes.nhs.scot/).
This application is run by NHS Education for Scotland. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this application. For example, that means you should be able to:
• change colours, contrast levels and fonts
• zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
• navigate most of the application using just a keyboard
• navigate most of the application using speech recognition software
• listen to most of the application using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the application text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
• some lists are not structured correctly, which may make it difficult for screen readers to interpret navigation elements
• there is more than one banner landmark, and some landmarks are not uniquely labelled, which may confuse assistive technology users
• the page is missing a main landmark, making it harder to identify the primary content
• some content is not contained within landmark regions
• the banner landmark is nested within another landmark, which should be avoided
• the meta viewport tag limits zooming on mobile devices to a maximum of 200%, preventing full text scaling
We’re always looking to improve the accessibility of this application.

This application is partially compliant with the WCAG 2.2 AA standard due to the non-compliances listed below.
The content is non-accessible for the following reasons:
• some lists are not properly structured – this fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.3.1: Info and Relationships
• the page does not contain a main landmark – this fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.3.1: Info and Relationships
• the banner landmark is not top-level and is duplicated – this fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.3.1: Info and Relationships
• multiple landmarks share the same role or label – this fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.3.1: Info and Relationships
• some content is not contained within landmark regions – this fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.3.1: Info and Relationships and 2.4.1: Bypass Blocks
• the meta viewport limits zoom – this fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.4.4: Resize Text
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.
Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.
