Welcome to the Flying Start News page.

Any opportunities to contribute to the enhancement and further development of Flying Start will also be advertised here.
Incorporating feedback from the recent national evaluation the new and improved version of Flying Start is now live.
The new units can now be accessed in the Programme section.
So what is new?
Version 3 aims to better enable practitioners explore what the pillars of practice mean to them as a level 5 practitioner within their role.
it is more closely aligned to the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) of the NMAHP Development Framework.
It is also underpinned by Values Based Care, aiming to deliver better outcomes and experiences for the people we care for through the equitable, sustainable, appropriate and transparent use of available resources.
Version 2 remains live for those already undertaking the programme and will be accessible until late spring/early summer 2026
A new registration process for the facilitator section is live. There is now a landing page with the relevant information and link to a short registration form.
This registration process allows us to add the units to the pages, protecting their copyright while allowing facilitators and Flying Start leads to see the content. (both versions of the programme have been added and can be viewed/downloaded).
Leads, educators, line managers etc. are also welcome to register.
