Getting the best from your library account

This session highlighted some useful ways to use features in your NHS Scotland library account to help manage your research and make finding useful resources easier.  Includes

  • Saving results and make collections by adding labels
  • Saving searches and set up alerts
  • Sharing results including exporting to references management software

After attending the session you may wish to complete the activities below.  You may also revise the slides and find a selection of the links referred to.  


Activity one

On The Knowledge Network review the Using my account pages


Activity two

  • Open The Knowledge Network library search in a new window and sign in. 
  • Add keywords to the search box and pin a few examples into My Favourites   
  • Add labels to your saved items 
  • Save a search and set an alert

Activity three

  • Open The Knowledge Network library search in a new window and sign in. 
  • From My Favourites export some results either via reference management software, by email or  as an excel spreadsheet.
