Fairer Feedback Conversations – Equity in Education: Train the Trainer focused day for clinical / educational supervisors; senior medical educators

Barriers to effective feedback conversations exist between those from a range of diverse / different backgrounds, cultures, and also between those who have varied teaching and learning styles.

This novel multi-modal simulation-based training day aims to raise awareness of barriers to effective feedback conversations between doctors from different backgrounds and develop skills to overcome these in practice. Areas covered include building cultural intelligence and looking at addressing implicit biases that we may all have. We also discuss the unique challenges that IMG doctors face and how we can better support individuals from diverse groups; and other related feedback scenarios.

Spaces in this course are limited to enable effective group interaction; and providing a safe and respectful space to optimise learning. All training days are held in person.
