These resources are intended to provide an introduction to, and develop your understanding of, sustainability concepts, topics and issues.

Introduction

Environmental issues such as climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss have an impact on human health and wellbeing. We have a moral obligation and responsibility to help tackle this by reducing our impact on the environment.

Environmental and climate action have multiple benefits for health and wellbeing – delivering environmentally sustainable health and social care can make a real difference to outcomes.

Everyone across health and social care has a part to play – we can establish a culture of stewardship and use our natural resources carefully to deliver sustainable and high-quality care with minimum impact on the environment.
