The Making it Work framework is the result of a 7-year partnership project between five Northern Periphery countries: Norway, Sweden, Canada, Iceland, and Scotland. The project looked at the challenges surrounding the recruitment and retention of health professionals in remote and rural areas, and worked to identify and test solutions to such challenges.
The framework consists of nine key strategic elements grouped into three tasks, all underpinned by five conditions for success.
The full framework, as well as a concise overview document and all associated research outputs can be viewed on the Making It Work website.
