Educational Supervisors Calibration training for the QIP submitted by GP trainees
This 45-minute online course calibrates the ES marking of the QIP for each of the categories of the RCGP marking template. By working through each category on sample projects, you can see examples of “below expectations”, “meets expectations” and “above expectations”. Remember, the trainee does not have to meet expectations in all categories to have completed a QIP which is satisfactory. Each of the three samples are satisfactory overall. Completing this module will facilitate richer discussions with your trainee on the QIP and will contribute towards your own revalidation as an ES.
This short micro learning e-module revises what is required of the educational supervisor in helping their trainee to complete their QIP WPBA. It gives some tips and resources to support the ES in this work.
