This course is aimed at medical trainees who are in a specialty approaching CCT, GP trainees approaching CCT and Dental trainees.

The majority of courses are delivered online via Adobe Connect, although some may be delivered in-person.  Please take note of the mode of delivery when booking.

Instructions on how to download Adobe Connect will be available upon booking via the Documents tab.  By booking onto an online course, you are committing to downloading the Adobe Connect app and using it as instructed. You will be expected to have your webcam visible throughout the course.  It is the delegates responsibility to ensure they can access the workshop appropriately and have sufficient connection to participate.  All delegates require a laptop or desktop computer with functioning webcam and microphone to participate.

An audio-visual test will be offered prior to any online session and we encourage delegates to participate in this test to ensure smooth participation on the day of the course.  Full participation is required throughout the course for the delegate to successfully complete the programme.  NES reserves the right to remove anyone from a course if they are unable to fully participate and a certificate will not be awarded.

Cost: Funding has been top-sliced from study-leave budgets to cover the cost of the programme.

Cancellations:  If you become unable to attend, please ensure you cancel your place as soon as possible to ensure others can take advantage of the free space.

Learning aims:
To help delegates acquire knowledge of leadership and management and raise their awareness of of how this might influence their practice

Learning outcomes:
On completion of the programme, delegates will have a better understanding of: 1. The personal qualities required for effective leadership and how these can be demonstrated; 2. Effective leadership and its importance in team-working; 3. The importance of effective management of resources; 4. The influence effective leadership and management can have on the development and continuous improvement of services.
