When using and re-using other people’s intellectual property, whether as a learner submitting assignments, or as an educator devising learning materials for others, it’s important to stay within the bounds of copyright laws. Copyright law infringement, particularly for NHS Scotland as an organisation, can have significant financial (not to mention ethical) implications.

There are lots of resources to assist you to stay within the law on our Turas Copyright Site, including guidance, rights templates and an e-learning module. Your local NHS board librarians can assist with copyright advice and NES have a dedicated copyright inbox to support educators and NES employees with particular copyright queries.
