The programme

You as a Collaborative Leader (YaCL) is a programme for health and social services professionals working in integration, to develop the skills and knowledge to lead effectively across integrated settings where effective collaboration is essential.

YaCL is designed to help you recognise your own leadership strengths and sources of resilience and how you can best use these to lead change more collaboratively and effectively to deliver health and social care integration.

With a mixture of personal coaching, peer thinking, and group workshop sessions, it is designed specifically to support you to increase your self-awareness as a leader, create greater presence, influence more effectively, and have greater impact as a collaborative leader.

Participant Feedback

Feedback from previous participants on the programme.

It is definitely worth applying for this course. Great opportunity to meet colleagues from different professions and different organisations. Peer groups were a great way to work collaboratively on an identified problem not always finding an exact solution but getting lots of ideas on how to tackle things. The 1:1 coaching session at the end of the course was invaluable. I now have lots of tools and resources for going forward.

This programme is an opportunity to hit that "reset" button, it reminds you of the importance of a safe and dedicated space to reflect. The programme really supports that deeper dive into what kind of leader you are and how you want to lead going forward, in a really authentic and strengths-based way. For me, role modelling this as I go forward is crucial to support reflective and compassionate leadership. If we all completed this programme the public sector would look pretty different!
