The importance of a good and intuitive user interface cannot be overstated. The user interface includes not only screens but any physical aspect of the device with which the user needs to interact. Good user interfaces can reduce use errors, increase efficiency, and contribute to a better user experience (and reduce frustration). An understanding of the systems and tasks are essential to developing a good user interface. Integrating and embedding Human Factors in the design, specification, implementation, and evaluation of digital technologies (including AI applications) will support systems thinking and use task analysis methods to anticipate and understand the impact in real-world settings.
