NHS Education for Scotland, in collaboration with National Services Scotland colleagues from NHS Scotland Assure, have been asked to support the development and enhancement of education and training for senior leaders (Executive and Non-Executive board members) in NHS Scotland on their duties and responsibilities in the construction and ongoing management of the healthcare infrastructure. The aim of the Senior Leadership Development session was to provide improved leadership awareness for NHS Executive and Non-Executive Scottish Board members, in relation to their roles, responsibilities and accountability in gaining quality and safety assurance within the Healthcare Built Environment (HBE) and reducing the associated healthcare risks. The first webinar took place on December 2021 with a further two repeat webinars held in January and April 2022 respectively.
